Why your donation matters

Media Archive for Central England exists to preserve the moving images of the Midlands and connect individuals and communities with their screen heritage through community screenings, free access to clips on our website and educational work.

Why is this important?

When we visit a stately home and immerse ourselves in a different time, or drive through a town rich in history and admire the architecture, we would think it unimaginable to allow these buildings to fall into decay. But we may not think that moving images are as important.

Moving images are just as much a part of our heritage. They tell a rich story of social history, helping us to understand who we are.

MACE exists to ensure that the moving images of the Midlands are protected today, and for future generations.
