Personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

In August I am going to CAMBODIA with the charity, Project Trust (www.projecttrust.org.uk). It is a charity that selects and sends over 200 young volunteers each year to work in 25 countries worldwide. It strives to educate it's volunteers by getting them to work alongside local communities for a significant length of time to learn from them(though it is careful not to take work from the local people).

My project will involve visiting orphaned children with HIV/AIDS in rural parts of Cambodia to ensure that they are well fed, cared for and receiving adequate medical treatment. I am also likely to spend some of my time in care homes where I will play a sister-like role to the children; supporting their English learning, organizing extra curricular activities and providing them with encouragement and emotional support.

In order to take up this opportunity in Cambodia, I have the enormous task of raising £4,480 over the next 6 months. So far I am very grateful to have received sponsorship donations from the Sir James Miller Edinburgh Trust, The Zeta Trust, The Cray Trust, The Russell Trust and The Alchemy Foundation - thank you! I am also trying to reach this target through my own fundraising efforts, like Cambodian dinner parties, bake sales and car boot sales, and from donations from family and friends like you! Any contribution, however small, would be greatly appreciated. Every penny of this will go to Project Trust to provide services and support to its volunteers, both before going and while abroad.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Project Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support!
