Thank you everybody for all your donations and support. I finished the potters half Marathon in 2 hours 10 minutes feeling strong. I'm sure Dave was by my side and gave me the energy and determination not to stop or walk. Such an amazing experience I felt like I had won the race when I crossed the finished line. Raised so much money for brain tumour research much more than I ever hoped for. It just goes to show Dave was such a loved man I'm sure he's smiling down at us all and is very proud.

As many of you know Dave Clarke my father in law (close enough) passed away in October 2010 suddenly of a brain tumour leaving the family shocked and devastated. He was 56 years old.

Dave was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was such a loving and outgoing person who always had time for his family and friends.

Dave became a keen runner at the age of 29 years old. He was a founder member of the Trentham Running Club and competed in many events throughout the years including the Potteries and London marathons regularly completing both events in under 3 hours. Right up until his untimely death Dave was very active and cycled most weekends as well as running 2/3 times a week with his running club.

Dave has touched many peoples lives leaving behind happy memories for us all. He was strong willed, determined and had a "never give up" attitude, which are all good qualities needed to become a good runner.

Brain tumours devastate and affect the lives of thousands of people every year. There is still relatively little known about the condition and more funding and research is urgently needed.

However much you can give no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated in helping me to reach my fundraising goal total.
