Thank you for visiting my fundraising page which is dedicated to my mother in law.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bassetlaw Hospice of the Good Shepherd gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
Our Story
On the 2nd April 2009 Theresa Wilson, known by family and friends as Terri, lost her battle with cancer. During the months that she was ill she never complained as she said that she didn't want to put anyone to any trouble! Terri was strong and brave and she is sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
Terri spent her final days at Bassetlaw Hospice, which can only be described as a small piece of heaven on earth for the support it provides for both those suffering from cancer and their families. The staff there are wonderful and we can not thank them enough for their enormous help during a very difficult time.
Now we want to be able to give something back so that other people will benefit in the future. Terri was so grateful for the care that she received at the hospice that she donated £500 herself.
A special thank you to all of those who donated money to the hospice at Terri's funeral - this amounted to £298.65 and thank you to those on Paul's shift who also donated £44.
I ran the race for life in Sheffield on the 14th June 2009 and whilst this it was not the longest run in the world it was the first one that I have ever done. Thank you to all of my colleagues at work who sponsored me. I was obviously fitter than I thought as I didn't need an oxygen mask at the end.
I have now registered to do the moon walk in Edinburgh in 2010 and I will be looking for sponsorship for that a bit later on!
Please give a donation, no matter how small it is, literally every penny helps to keep this wonderful hospice open.
Thank you for your support.
