St Oswald's is a leader in the field of providing hospice care for both adults and children, however receives less than 30% of it's £7m annual running costs from the NHS. The rest must be raised by fundraising efforts. They are also reliant on an incredible army of 800 volunteers, who are vital to the Hospice's continuing work.
