About our charity
The Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital is committed to high quality research and is fortunate to have a fully established Clinical Trial Unit and a Research Laboratory on site. Our researchers are dedicated to reducing heart and lung disease and in 1998 we launched the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Appeal to support research projects undertaken at the hospital. The Hospital uses the funds raised to maintain and develop standards of excellence in patient care. Our pioneering researchers and scientists have contributed to vital advances in cardiovascular medicine, helping to prevent heart and lung disease and improving treatments for patients of the future.
