Formed in 2002 by churches and Christian organisations on Merseyside, Merseyfest is committed to bring good news to the neediest parts of our region though practical demonstrations of kindness. Merseyfest is committed to working with all people who want to build community cohesion, improve their local environment and increase social well being for the benefit of all. The underlying values that motivate and guide Merseyfest are those taught and demonstrated by Jesus Christ, and whilst we respect and welcome all who want to be involved, we are unashamed about our reliance on the principles and power of Christ to transform our communities.

The only member of the team to have successfully run a Marathon before is Richard Bennett.
