Cycle Challenge for International Childcare Trust
“It seemed like a good idea at the time”. Haven’t you heard me say that on so many occasions? I have agreed to take part in the ICT 2006 Cycle Challenge, cycling 469 kilometres across , from Sien Reap to Sinanoukville, from 3rd to 12th November. I am sure you know that I reserve a small part of my time and efforts to raise money for disadvantaged and disabled children. Cambodia has a tragic history; over 2,000,000 people were killed in the genocide of the Pol Pot regime. This has left a mentally scarred population, particularly children. The International Childcare Trust works in Cambodia, India, Kenya and Sri Lanka to look after displaced children including building, equipping, and running orphanages.
I will cycle the 469 Kilometres in 5 days in order to raise over £5000 – I have already pledged £1500 and would be very grateful for your support.
I do hope that you will join me in supporting this worthy cause.
With kind regards.
Yours sincerely, MARTIN SMITH
