My story

We're 5 IB students from the Manchester Grammar School who have taken the READ challenge to raise £2000 and 5000 books in order to use the money to send those books to schools in Tanzania lacking capital for these resources.

Our first fundraising event was a christmas quiz, next we're playing badminton for 24 hours straight! (be sure to sponsor us for that on here) and we've got much more planned for the not too distant future!

If you want to get rid of old books to help with our book collection please contact us either through here, facebook or come and speak to one of the team

Thanks

Vicente, Huw, Ravi, Sam & James

PS you can donate via text, just send

MGSR99 £(amount you want to give) to 70070

Tanzania's secondary school syllabus is almost identical to the UK; however schools often lack resources. In UK schools new editions of textbooks quickly replace the old resulting in disused good quality books. To date we have sent 1,303,890 of these books to students and teachers in East Africa.
