Story
In loving memory of Christina Addison - our very special and inspirational mum.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On Sunday July 5th 2009, I completed the Three Peaks walk in the Yorkshire Dales. It was a 26 miles walk and as if that wasn't enough, tt also included climbing Pen-y-ghent (2273ft), Whernside (2414 ft) and Ingleborough (2727 ft) - and finish in 12 hours.
Pleased to say that we (Steve, Sue and me - plus around 140 Marie Curie walkers) managed it and I am glad all the training paid off.
It was a lovely day's walking and we had good weather - cool, with a bit of sun and rain when required.
I did the walk to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and in memory of my mum. This site will stay open until early September 2009.
I appreciate money is tight these days but please do consider a donation if you can. All money goes directly to Marie Curie Cancer Care to enable them to continue their research, nursing and hospice work around the UK.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks for any support you can offer - it is appreciated.
