Steps is the leading charity working for all those whose lives are affected by childhood lower limb conditions. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting individuals, families and carers affected by conditions which have an impact on the legs, hips or feet.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page where you can sponsor us online.

We, Michael and Erla, have booked ourselves on an Extreme Expedition to climb the World's Highest Active Volcano in Ecuador, South America, from 22nd of January to 3rd of February 2007.  The trek is in the aid of  Reach www.reach.org.uk and Steps www.steps-charity.org.uk to raise money for children with hand or arm deficiency and  lower limb abnormalities.   It will take 9 days to climb to the Summit Cotopaxi at 5,897 meters height.  The last climb will start just after midnight and is going to be a gruelling 8 hours of constant climbing up steep glaciers using crampons and ice axes, and being roped up to professional guides. The trek will be even more difficult than normally due to the thin air at a very high altitude.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Steps Charity Worldwide will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thanks ever so much for your support.
