Our personal message:

A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to Michael's Fund.  The initial target of £20,000 has been reached and the land was purchased on Michael's Birthday (27th February).  More information is given on the Tong-Len web site at http://www.tong-len.org/news/news.php#news82 .

We now need to raise the money for building.   Our target over the next few months is to raise another £10,000 thus bringing the fund to £30,000. This will enable Tong-Len to make a start on the building of a hostel to accommodate 50 children whilst attending school.  We expect this first phase of the Michael Blakey Centre to cost £120,000 in addition to the land cost. 

All funds raised through this page will go towards the Michael Blakey Memorial Fund.  As an alternative to online giving, cheques can be made out in favour of Tong-Len UK  and sent to Tong-Len UK, 7 Oak Lane, Edinburgh, EH12 6XH.  Please also include a note that the money sent is for the Memorial Fund.
