My story

 

The architectural plans for the first phase of the Michael Blakey Centre, a new hostel for 64 children, have been completed and a start has been made on the foundations of the building (see the news item on the web site at www.tong-len.org/news/news.php#news113 .  You can see an image of the proposed building at www.tong-len.org/images/news/hostel_mockup_for_newslette .   A water and electricity supply at the site have already been secured.  It is now necessary to make a big push to raise the funds we need to complete the hostel building. This is now estimated to be about £160,000. Any help with fund raising,would be very gratefully appreciated.  Sponsorship forms and publicity material can be provided to anyone willing to organise a sponsored or other event. All funds raised through this page will go towards the Michael Blakey Memorial Fund.  As an alternative to online giving, cheques can be made out in favour of Tong-Len UK  and sent to Tong-Len UK, 7 Oak Lane, Edinburgh, EH12 6XH.  Please also include a note that the money sent is for the Memorial Fund.
