Action Duchenne is a national charity that aims to find a cure for Duchenne, a severe genetic muscle wasting disease. The condition affects mainly boys and without treatment most of these young men are completely paralysed by their early teens and die by their late teens or early 20s. To ensure we do not lose another generation of young people to this terrible disease we need more funding for research and treatment.

My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. By beautiful boy was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy last year. This severe muscle wasting disease will leave my darling boy dependent upon a wheelchair, will destroy all his upper body function and take him from me in his 20's. Time is running out and we need a cure for this awful illness. I can't do much on my own to find a cure but I can support PPUK who lobby the Department of Health and fund their own research projects. There are the seeds of hope out there but it is going cost a lot of money.
