My story

 

Hi

I know you're probably wondering how on earth I'm going to run 10k - I'm wondering the same!!  Well, I keep telling myself that there isn't any point doing something if it's not a challenge!!

I'm running for the charity "When You Wish Upon A Star".  You may recall I have supported this charity previously when I did the "Pepsi Max Big One" (five times on the rollercoaster non-stop) many years ago.

For those of you who haven't heard of "When You Wish Upon A Star" it is a small charity whose aim is to grant the wishes of children with a life threatening or terminal illness.  The wishes range from swimming with dolphins in Florida to watching a baby lamb being born!  All the children are extremely ill and the knowledge their wish will be granted can really give them a much needed boost and often is an incentive to help get them and their families through some extremely tough times.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: When You Wish Upon A Star will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
