“NOT ANOTHER CHARITY SQUEEZE BY HELPSY! WHAT’S HE DOING THIS TIME AND WHOSE IT FOR?”

Yes it’s that time of year again when I come round with the begging bowl with all the proceeds going to charity. The good news is that annually you get the chance to feel good about your selves by giving to a great cause in the sound knowledge I will be going through pain!

CHALLENGE 2008

This years challenge is a 26.4 km open water swim RACE (!) down Lake Zurich in Switzerland (can be equivalent to 30 pool-km /19 miles dependent on the weather conditions).  

THE CHARITY

Disability Challengers - A small charity for children with disabilities  with the  purpose to enable children to challenge their impairments through Play in a stimulating and safe environment.  They currently have an ambitious project call the ‘Big Play’ .This is the £3million transformation of a derelict building in Farnham ,Surrey into a facility for children with disabilities to discover new challenges and do something I take for granted – to Play!

They require £70,000 to finish the project and get equipment and I urge you to once again give generously to this great cause so together we can help them achieve this target.
