Thank You for "dropping in" to find out about my London to Paris Sponsored Bike Ride.

I'm training hard for the ride which will be taking place in late July.  The charity I'm supporting is Christian Aid.  I've set myself the target of raising £1200 and, as you can see, thanks to the generosity of friends and family I'm already well on the way.

My training programme is progressing well too.  I'm currently trying to do between 15 and 20 miles most weekdays.  In a month or so I'll be looking to start some 30 mile rides before building up to some 40 milers and upwards from April onwards.

The London to Paris ride is a total of 300 miles and will be taking place from 23rd - 26th July.  Once we arrive in Paris there's then a free day on the 27th before a late evening return to the UK by Eurostar.  You can see full details of  the ride here (in PDF format).  By happy co-incidence the free day is when the Tour de France finishes in Paris.

Transaction Charges:
You might be concerned about the reference to Transaction Charges.  It's fully explained on the link at the bottom of the page.  The bottom line is that if you give £10, and Gift Aid it, then even after transaction charges Christian Aid will receive £11.93 (if you're giving by Credit Card) or £11.85 (if you're using Debit Card).  It still only costs you £10 though.  So don't worry too much!
