About my charity : Sightsavers International Sightsavers International
Sightsavers is dedicated to combating blindness in developing countries, primarily in the Commonwealth, by working with partner organisations in poor and the least served communities to support ongoing activities that prevent and cure blindness, restore sight and provide education and training for people who are blind.

My personal message:

It costs just 31p to prevent blindness from two of its biggest causes: river blindness and trachoma. That's value for money!

I chose Sight Savers because they can make such a massive difference to a person's life with such a small amount of cash. It costs just £5 to pay for surgery for trachoma, and it can restore a person's ability to work and earn and care for their family.

If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax relief will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Go on, give us your dosh! I know London to Cambridge is not exactly Land's End to John o'Groats, but I've a fair chance of getting sunburnt. I've paid the costs and entry fee, so all the sponsorship money goes to Sight Savers.
