The NSPKU exists to help and support people with PKU, their families and carers. It works closely with medical professionals in the UK. It receives no government funding and is dependent on the generosity of its members and the public to fund practical support, raising awareness and, research into the condition. It publishes a wide range of booklets and leaflets (including food lists) for parents, PKUs and medical professionals. Events - it organises conferences and study days. It also sponsors medical research into PKU. It is run by the Council of Management who are all unpaid volunteers with PKU in their families.

My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Those of you who know me well will be surprised on two counts:
1. That my brain is naive enough to believe that my body can run (walk, crawl, drag itself around) 10K
2. My hands on experience of this technology.

So, I need to raise a lot of money for the priviledge of stomping the streets of London, early on a Sunday morning, when those of you without children are lying back in bed with your coffee, toast and the Sunday supplements and those of you with them, were wishing you were doing the same!

I am raising funds for the NSPKU, a charity close to our hearts, as the condition it supports is rare, it doesn't see the funding/exposure that a lot of the larger charities do.

So please dig deep and help in whatever way you can, I already have a stretcher for the journey home, so we only need Money.
