My story

What can I say about the generosity of our friends and family, you have all been so kind in supporting my family over the last 18 months a big big THANK YOU from all of us.

On August the 12th 2007 myself and Brian crossed the finish line in Fernie BC in just over 35 hours of riding, tired and exhausted but excited and thrilled at the completion of such a tough challenge. It was fantastic to see the faces of Natalie and Olivia, whom we had not seen for over 10 days. We enjoyed a cold 'Bud' beer at the finishl ine that was kindly given to us by a couple of friends we had met on the challenge, Kevin and Lance. 'Very strange that, it was Milos nick name BUD'.

We are hoping to arrange a get together and show the DVD of the event and some photos over the next month or so. We will keep you posted.

My family very sadly lost our little son Milo who aged just aged just six, died on the 2nd December 2005. He died very suddenly from a giant brain aneurysm, a very rare type affecting only a handful of children in the world. We as a family are trying to come to terms with this unbelievable tragic loss. We are trying to help other families who have children with similar conditions and are looking to raise money for The Children’s Trust brain injury unit, to help them buy some much needed equipment. We are looking to raise in excess of £25,000. So far, we have, through other events, raised £23,000.

This August, myself and a friend Brian Trill are travelling out to the Canadian Rocky Mountains  to compete in The “Trans-Rockies Challenge” a gruelling 600 plus kilometre mountain bike race with over 12,000 metres of climbs, based over a 7 day period. It is claimed to be one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world.
