Hurrah! We completed the cycle on Sunday in 4hr 23min of cycling (5hrs including stops) and enjoyed every minute of it apart from the hill just outside Avonbridge. Most of the time we didn't have a clue where we were we just followed the mass of fellow cyclists and had lots of fun on the way.
Thanks again for your sponsorship, it drove us up the hills and along the long stretches of road, much appreciated!

On Sunday 13 September 2009, we are going to attempt to do a 51 mile charity cycle from to as part of Pedal for Scotland 2009.
We are hoping to raise a good sum of money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) - a cause close to ours, and our families hearts (no pun intended) The BHF funds research, education and life-saving equipment and helps heart patients.
As well as raising cash for a great charity, we shall also be sporting our ‘Give Blood’ t-shirts, in order to do our bit to raise awareness for the need for Blood Donors. As most of you are aware, when Jen gave birth to Anna last year, she required 8 emergency life saving transfusions after losing 5.5 litres of blood – this means all the blood in her body was replaced by blood given by donors. Without blood donors lives will be lost. Thankfully for us, Jen was saved – so let’s all do our bit to help raise awareness as our way of thanks.
Thank you in advance for your kind donations to the BHF and if you can - Give Blood today!
UPDATE: 25 miles training cycle today (06/09/09) went well bums a little bit sore but we could have gone on longer which is all good for the real thing next week!
