We are the only UK charity dedicated to supporting those affected by the rare disease pulmonary hypertension. Our mission is to provide support and information, fund research and promote awareness to help people live better lives with PH.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and I hope you will sponsor me, even in a small way.

(PH) is a condition involving high blood pressure and structural changes in the walls of the pulmonary arteries that connect the right side of the heart to the lungs. Untreated, the disease has a worse prognosis than most forms of cancer, with a mortality of 40% per year. Today, with proper diagnosis, there are currently several therapies to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life for PH patients. But there is no cure.

The symptoms of Pulmonary Hypertension include breathlessness and fatigue. To help us with a healthy diet, I am compiling a recipe book with easy, quick recipes that have no added salt.

There will be a celebrity chef/restaurant section.  Gordon Ramsey, Delia Smith, Nigella Lawson, Vivek Singh of The Cinnamon Club & Sketch, one of London's top restaurants, have been kind eough to donate recipes for this section, some specially concocted for us.

We don't just need celebrity recipes, we need yours too.  If you would like to send a recipe, please email it to   sarah.frankel@gmail.com

Your donation will help us in many ways.  Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please dig deep and donate online now!

Many thanks for your support,

Miriam.
