My story
The Mission: “Mont Blanc! Because we can!” The Team:Adam”Tango” Pigott (Team Leader), Rodger Danks, Jamie Moodie, Andy Williams, John Woods & Ray Christopher The Reason: None of us have ever attempted anything like this before but all team members are fit, healthy and all want to make the summit (and down again). We will be dependant on a good weather window and none of us getting altitude sickness. A huge amount of specific fitness is being undertaken and all of us will be trained to traverse glaciers with crampons and Ice-axe by the time we set off for the summit. Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in Western Europe at 4810 meters (15,780 feet). We are all doing this for our own personal reasons but we are united on raising some money for this worthwhile cause. Rainbow Trust works with families in crisis, facing the unimaginable prospect of losing their child to a terminal or life threatening illness.
