YES, you've probably gathered that the climb already happened between 23rd 28th August. We all know that men can't multi task so setting up a Just Giving page and getting ready for the climb at the same time was near impossible. And besides we were all too busy trying on our thermal underwear. So here it is finally. Please be generous (if not only for the blistered feet)...
No one knew what to expect and in short the experience of our week away on Mont Blanc and surrounding peaks was beautiful, frightening, somewhat crazy, epic, sore, funny at times and profoundly moving all rolled into one. Everyone pushed themselves to the limit both emotionally and physically (with 3 of us spontaneously bursting into tears on the summit shhhhhh!!!!)...
Before the climb we raised over £1000 for Phunzira (whose aim it is to build a self sustainable learning centre in Malawi) directly through their homepage and will be now using Just Giving to try and push this figure up further. Temwa will be giving additional support and resources to help build the learning centre. All the money donated through this page will be going directly to the project detailed at www.phunzira.co.uk.
