Ben's London to Edinburgh bike ride for Sustrans
Dear Everybody,
Sorry this page is a little generic and that I couldn't write to you all personally. It sure does beat me turning up with a spreadsheet to your place of work or abode though doesn't it !!
Sustrans: Now to business !! i am trying to raise some money for gold old Sustrans who build and signpost routes spanning the country to make it easier for people to travel around on bike, foot, horse, skateboard, pogo stick space hopper or anything other than a car (and if it reduces the car traffic i guess it helps people in cars too, so everybody!!)
The Ride: To do this I am going to cycle solo and unaided* from London back home to Edinburgh starting on Sunday the 4th of April and finishing, well, when i get home !! In the spirit of all the good work Sustrans do I am going to bike my way up National Cycle Network 1 and 11 (London - Cambridge - Lincoln - Scarborough - Middlesbrough - Newcastle - Berwick - Edinburgh)-ish.
* unaided means carrying tent, sleeping and cooking stuff, tools and clothes with me for the duration. Food will be picked up along with way. If anyone I know lives along the way and can let me use me a couch bath and a washing machine for the night. Well that would be very welcome :) !!
