Alzheimer's Society - Cycle London to Paris · 16 September 2009 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I was inspired by a great charity and by the need to get fit. Between 16 and 20 September 2009 I cycled from London to Paris to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

The Alzheimer's Society provides information and support for people with all forms of dementia and those who care for them. It runs quality care services, funds research, advises professionals and campaigns for improved health and social care and greater public understanding and awareness of dementia.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me as the  Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I carried all the names of the people that sponsored me on the 300 mile trip through the cloud and wind in Kent into the warmth and sunshine of France. Thank you all.

It is still not too late for others to sponsor me. If you fancy doing this ride next year I would be happy to pass on my experiences.
