Macmillan 4x4 UK Challenge on 5th - 7th March 2010

Anna & Matt Wood from Hampshire will be taking part in the Macmillan 4X4 UK Challenge on 5th - 7th March 2010 we aim to raise over £2,000 for the charity.
This will be our second year doing the Challenge this time we'll be Team 31
The 'Macmillan 4x4 UK Challenge', the 'Mac 4x4' or the 'Mac' as it has become known is a ‘Challenge.’ It aims to test navigational skills, observation, on and off road driving ability and endurance; by day and night and will cover up to 1,000 miles around the UK in 2 1/2 days.
Whilst most years the event stays within mainland UK on occasions it has crossed the Irish Sea. We will be using Anna's 300TDi Land Rover Defender for the challenge.
Since the first challenge in 2002 the total raised to date is £420,000 with the 2008 total currently at £100,000 and still rising. The event receives increased publicity each year with coverage from national magazines including Land Rover Owner International and Land Rover Monthly. 2009 will see Julia Bradbury presenter of 'Watchdog' taking part.
ALL sponsorship received goes to Macmillan Cancer Support the country's major charity devoted to the treatment and care of people with cancer and their families. It supports Macmillan's continuing efforts to provide better support services through the well-known Macmillan Nurses, doctors, buildings and patient grants.
