This summer I will be braving the elements to go to Mount Kailash in Tibet, at an altitude of 18500 feet.
Some who undertake such arduous journeys through India, Nepal, and Tibet expect greater things - such as getting enlightened or die trying. I would be happy to just be there and back again. Oh, and would also like to make this trip an opportunity for all of us to make basic education available to rural children in India by raising funds to build a school in India.
One such worthy initiative is Isha Vidhya in southern India. They are making efforts much greater than those needed to climb mountains - and if you want to lend a hand, please contribute generously.
The funds donated to Isha Institute of Inner Sciences will all go to Isha Vidhya towards the school fund. You can visit Isha Vidhya at http://www.ishavidhya.org/ for more details.
Thanks and see you when I descend.
