Down Right Kenya · 19 August 2008

We work in rural Kenya to support & empower communities; building schools and helping to maintain a quality education through the provision of school infrastructure, school lunches, desks, teacher training, student bursary schemes, water harvesting, sanitation and teaching materials.

Story

On 20th September 2008 I will be setting off on a huge charity adventure bike ride. ‘Down Right Kenya’ is a bicycle rally crossing 6,000 miles of Europe and Northern Africa in aid of Harambee Schools Kenya (HSK), for whom I hope to raise £3000. HSK is a brilliant charity which builds schools for children living in rural Kenya, providing them with the necessary skills to help them escape a life of poverty. This epic and unsupported ride will take about 6 months to complete and will take my team and I through some of the most beautiful and rugged areas of the world. I am financing the ride straight from my own pocket so all donations go straight to HSK. Please give as much as you can to help me reach my target and significantly change the lives of so many children living in rural Kenya.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: HSK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
