In the middle of April 2007 I shall be leaving my employment to pursue a huge solo mountaineering/cycling expedition with the intention to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity I am particularly fond of since the loss of both parents over the past 4 years to cancer.

Conceived originally as my second attempt at Mt McKinley, Peak to Peak™ has grown into a Herculean expedition to climb the highest summits of North, Central and South America linking each mountain by bicycle. To add further media interest and therefore greater scope to raise more charitable sponsorship, I am extending the cycling aspect by 3,500 miles to incorporate the whole length of the Pan America highway, which at over 15,000miles, is the longest road in the world.

My financial target for Macmillan is £77,006 which equates to £1 for every foot of ascent and every mile cycled. The breakdown being…..
