This is the new-Muslim education arm of iERA. Many new Muslims have benefitted immensely through the work of Muslim Now. This has taken shape through the following areas:

Welcome Packs

Our New Muslim team have made and distributed over 300 new Muslim Welcome Packs to reverts nationwide to assist them in their initial transition into Islam. The pack contains the following materials.

New Muslim Retreat

The retreat brings together new reverts to Islam in an environment where they can feel comfortable in their new found faith, amongst fellow believers. At the retreat, named ‘The Journey of Life’ the new Muslims are empowered and motivated to build a solid foundation of Islam by instilling in them a deep and profound attachment and understanding of the purpose of life and awareness of Allah (SWT).

The retreats have had a profound and lasting impact on the new Muslims. We are seeing some of the new Muslims getting active in the community and contributing. Below are some testimonials.

The biggest thing was the LOVE which ALLAH given us for each other 4 days may b a short time for sum but that’s all it took for us to connect. It’s so hard being a revert an even being a Muslim in this time so to have this retreat was such a blessing subhanAllah.

In December 2010, we held our first ever new Muslim retreat, which was attended by forty new Muslims. The instructors were Abdurraheem Green and Shaykh Abu Abdissalam. In April 2011, we held the second retreat, which was attended by over seventy people.

We will be holding two further retreats in 2011 and 4 in 2012. To achieve this we are aiming to raise £100,000 to cover the costs for 3 retreats.

All it would take is 100 special people to give £1000, or 200 people giving £500 each. Importantly, this project qualifies for zakat. You can give you Zakat toward's iERA here.
