Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Assalaamu-alaikum, I am Mutah Shabazz Beale the new ambassador for the international charity; Muslim Global Relief which is a registered UK based humanitarian organisation having over 10 years of experience behind it. As you probably know, I was a former member of 2Pac Shakur's rap group "The Outlawz", and previously known as Napoleon and featured on several of 2Pac's platinum selling albums.

Brothers and sisters, my life long ambition is to build orphanages in Africa and other poor countries of the world as I myself was also an orphan when I witnessed the death of both my parents at a very young age. I know what it feels like to be left out of the protection and love of your parents and of the deprivation of a good up bringing and education, that is why I would like to build Inshallah, as many orphanages as possible all around the world with your generosity, to provide a stable up bringing and education for orphanage children .

Sahl ibn Sa'd reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I and those who care for orphans will be in the Garden like this," and he pointed with his forefinger and middle finger and made an opening between them." [al-Bukhari]

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I and an orphan's guardian, whether he is a relative or a non-relative, will be like these two in the Garden," and the transmitter, Malik ibn Anas, indicated the index and middle fingers. [Muslim]

Orphans and vulnerable children are those children unfortunate to have been deprived of their first line of protection – one or both of their parents. ‘By 2010, an estimated 106 million children under age 15 are projected to lose one or both parents’. (source UNICEF)

When a family loses the first line of support the father or in worst cases both parents, not only does the family have to cope with the tragedy of losing someone very dear, but also the loss of a regular source of income, which provided them the basic requirements in life.

Orphan children are amongst the most vulnerable in society as they do not have the same opportunities as other children. They are often forced into child labour in order to survive and miss out on a normal childhood. Needy orphans are usually deprived of food, clothing, sufficient healthcare and a good education.

My aims are simple and straight from the heart:

o   to give the world’s orphans and street kids a home.

o   to create a safe, loving and nurturing environment for these children.

o   to give them a healthy diet and a good education.

o   to release them back into the community as healthy, educated and well-adjusted adults so they can play their part in the future of their own country.

o   enable them to break out of the cycle of poverty forever.

Gambia, is on the Atlantic coast of north-west Africa, and is the smallest country in Africa - half the size of Wales - and one of its poorest. The main export is peanuts upon which the economy depends. Primary education is free but not compulsory with around 84% enrolling, while only 34% enrol for secondary schooling. Due to the impoverishment of many families and the break-up of traditional family structures in Gambia, an increasing number of children have to fend for themselves on the streets.

The MGR Orphanage will fully cater for at least 24 children at any one time, who have lost one or both of their parents, and especially those most vulnerable.

Cost of the MGR Orphanage is £95,000.00.
