As the Queen of Miss West Africa Gambia 2011 and acting ambassador of West Africa Countries in the Gambia, I stand to support the orphans in edification. I chose to support Orphans because I feel more tortured seeing these less privileged ones suffering the pain of no parental care, no hope for the future and adapting to a life they never wish for. I can’t bear the tough life of these children in our society, so I desire to part take in making a positive changes in Africa, West Africa and in the Gambia by fundraising for Hearts to Africa.
It pains to see how these orphans arrive at the Orphanage home with no hope of what to become, no dream of greatness and no career to achieve. Orphans are the least fortunate people in the world of today, children with no parent to take care, love, protect and direct them in life. The orphanage homes need all the help they can get from we the society. It is estimated that there are between 143 million and 210 million orphans worldwide. Everyday 5760 more children become orphan, 2,102,400 more children become orphans every year in Africa alone. Letting you know the statistics of the less privilege ones we have in our world is a reminder for us. A reminder to pray, a reminder to give, a reminder to advocate.
The agonizing reality of these numbers breaks hearts and drives souls to their knees. In the midst of all, I do believe that every soul is important to human race – equally and passionately — and grieves for each situation individually more than my finite mind can understand.
I am hereby calling on you to help support we who have volunteer ourselves to help the less privilege, the leaders of tomorrow that are in the orphanage homes to achieve their dreams of greatness in our society. I want you to agree with me that helping the less privileged ones is a guaranteed life changing experience for you, in our society and a big impact on the least fortunate of the world. Please give all you can to Hearts to Africa as they are currently working in the process to make a better reality for these children.
