Well there are currently seven of us that apparently don’t seem to have any plans for a sensible, safe summer holiday in 2009 and have decided to participate in the Mongolia charity rally.
And in case you are wondering what that is then, in the words of the organisers:-
“The Rally is a pan-continental drive across five mountain ranges, two deserts, more barren & inhospitable lands than you can care to shake a gear-stick at. Starting in London, the final destination is the great Mongol capital of Mongolia, beyond the Gobi desert, Ulaanbaatar." Approximately a 10,000 mile journey - give or take a wrong turn or two.
What can be said about everyone involved is that we are all dedicated to raising as much money as we can for our chosen charities. We decided on two in Mongolia - CDPF is a given and Save The Children. We have also decided to raise funds for two charities that help people in the UK. These are the Kent Air Ambulance Trust and the Ellenor Lions Hospices – These charities do a fantastic job and rely on donations to support the great work they do.
All donors can be entered into our fun draw. If you want to be entered in the draw for an Apple 4G Ipod Nano. Then send your contact details to NAGMongols@live.co.uk once you have made a donation. The draw will be made in September 2009.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kent Air Ambulance Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
