Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am running in the 2008 British 10K run to help raise money for SANDS who supported Joan and I through the loss of our daughter Naima.

After an emergency c-section a beautiful baby girl, Naima, was born 10:38pm 29th March 2006 in London, weighing 6lb 15oz. Six hours after birth, at (approx.) 04:30am 30th March Naima collapsed, as a result of perinatal asphyxia. Naima was resuscitated and put on a ventilator but she never fully recovered and did not regain consciousness.

On Naima's two-week birthday, 12th April, following her blessing Naima's ventilator was removed and 20 minutes later, Naima was free of her suffering and passed away in the arms of her Mum and Dad. May our beautiful girl rest in peace, you will always be in our hearts and minds.
