Hi!
I'm off on a big adventure again!
After doing the Husky Dog Sledding Trek Challenge for charity (The Blue Cross) last February, I've decided to do a walking trek in the oldest desert in the world, in Namibia, Africa. It's a week long, 130 km, walk from the capital Windhoek in the centre towards the infamous 'Skeleton Coast', at temperatures of +35*C in the day, and below freezing during the night. I'll get the chance to walk over the highest red sand dunes in the world, as well as through canyons and hopefully I will see lots of wildlife, such as zebra, giraffe, baboon and perhaps lion and even cheetah! It will be a physical and mental challenge, with minimal comforts during the week.
This time I'm raising money for Dogs Trust, the biggest dog welfare charity in the UK. They care for over 13,500 stray and abandoned dogs each year in their 17 rehoming centres through the UK. They work towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unneccesary destruction.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Every penny you donate is going entirely to DogsTrust, as I've funded the whole trip myself!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dogs Trust will receive your money faster and when you are a UK tax payer, using Gift Aid will increase your donation even further!
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
Pete
