Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Please sponsor me money to fall 12,000 feet :) !

I need to raise £400 minimum to do the jump, but anything you can offer will help, Its in support of the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust in memory of my Dad.  Hopefully I'll be able to do it on June 16th, what should have been his 42nd birthday.

Here is his story:

My Dad was ill for about ten years before he passed away in 2003.  It started as epileptic seizures when i was little, and these gradually got worse untill he was having up to 8 fits a day,  During a fit his whole body convulsed but he was conscious the whole time.  After it started happening in public places, he got too embarrassed to leave the house and spent a lot of time indoors.
During radiotherapy he lost all of his hair, but unfortuneatelty it didnt work.  He also tried chemotherapy but had a bad reaction and the treatment was stopped early. Eventually my dad had to stop working.  Over the next few years, the tumour grew and put more and more pressure on his brain.  The left side of his body became paralysed, his left arm constantly fitting.  He couldnt walk up the stairs anymore so he had to sleep downstairs and use a commode as a toilet and if he wanted to go out anywhere he had to use a wheelchair.
As the tumour grew it began to effect more than his body.  He started suffering from mood swings.  He could get really aggressive and spent a lot of time frustrated because he was losing the ability to speak.
One day when he was bought back from hospital, nurses told us he had to go into the hospice for some short term respite care. They said hed be out for Christmas.  He was admitted on the 5th, a Saturday evening, with the intention of being out in a few days, but when my mum went to visit him on the Wednesday he was in a coma.
The tumour had grown too big and was pushing his brain against his skull.  In the last few days he was administered with morphine to stop him fitting constantly.  He passed away at 8.30 in the morning on Sunday the 13th of December.  My sister and brother were only 5 and 6 years old
Cancer is a horrific disease, but i want to support the Samantha Dickson Trust because I know what its like to see someone get ill and and lose everything, including their personality. By the time he died my Dad was a completely different person, and because my brother and sister were so young they dont have any memories of him before he got ill.
Hopefully the money I raise can help fund treatment to save or prolong the life of someone with this disease. Or possibly it could help support a family just like my own who lost somone to  a brain tumour.

Thanks for supporting me :), please give generously and spread the word x
