Hello My Name is Gillian, my Gorgeous Son Nathan James fell asleep on the 12th May 2008 aged 10 Month's after fighting such a horrible condition (SMA) which took his life.

I have put a photo of Nathan on the page so you can see how lovely he really is.

All Profits are being donated to - The Jennifer Trust www.jtsma.org.uk

Nathan was diagnosed with an inherited neuromuscular condition that causes weakness and wasting in the muscles. Nathan had Type 1 SMA which kills more babies than any other inherited genetic condition in the UK today. Also 1 in 40 of us are carriers of the affected gene.The terrifying fact which sticks in my mind, is that there is no effective treatment and no cure.

Raising funds will help so many families suffering from SpinalMuscularAtrophy. Also I can speak of experience that the Trust do a fantastic Job and hopefully one day they will find a cure through funding scientific research.

Watching your child suffering and knowing they have little time left with you.makes your whole world fall apart . Just knowing there is nothing you can do but make them as comfortable as possible. This is now something close to my heart which I feel I have to do to support the trust. I am asking for your support and kindness .To help make awareness, as you would be amazed how few people know of this condition.

Even the smallest of donations I would be really greatfull of. Helping other children and families suffering from SMA and making there lives just a little easier would be a great achievement for myself and my family. Our gorgeous boy Nathan James "fell asleep" on the 12th May 2008. He will be loved and remembered always. No words can ever describe how we are really feeling.
