My story

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

I’m running in the 2012 Virgin London Marathon. Training is well underway and my blisters and aching limbs are developing nicely.

I’m running this year in aid of the Sir Stanley Matthews Foundation (SSMF).

The Foundation raises money to encourage young people to take part in sport and to achieve through sport and assists young people financially, whatever their sporting disciplines, levels of ability or ambitions and makes regular grants to people under 21 years of age.

Any youngster under the age of 21 taking part can apply to the Foundation for a grant.

The Foundation is also involved in funding a number of group coaching schemes at various establishments, again maintaining Sir Stan’s principles of creating and sustaining opportunities for young people to enjoy partaking in sport and to achieve through that.

I do hope you can help me in raising funds to help this very worthwhile charity.

My aim is to raise at least £2,000 to make all the physical & mental pain of the next three months worthwhile.

I’ve started the fundraising off by sponsoring myself. I hope you can help me as well by donation as much as you can.

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

This is a brilliant cause so please dig deep and donate now.
