Story

Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for sponsoring me so far ! It doesn't stop here though, please keep those very generous donations coming. All the money raised is going to a very worthy cause. Thanks once again.

As many of you know my wife Ariella was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis almost two years ago. Thankfully today she is doing great and is coping with her disease very well. I felt that I would like to do something active to help an organisation that supplied us with support, information and strength. So I have decided to run the London Marathon for the MS Trust (www.mstrust.org.uk).

This organisation has been with us along every step of the way. From being diagnosed and getting information about the illness, to constant updates on research , but also by providing information and professional education, sponsoring research and so much more.

Below you will find a letter from Ariella asking you for your help.

I was diagnosed in early March 2004. I remember sitting at the neurologists office and being told about this life changing illness, looking over at Neal’s face and just thinking “and now what?”  I had no idea what this disease meant, as like most people I had heard about multiple sclerosis, but didn’t know much about it. After two and a half months of steroid treatment I slowly got my walking and coordination back and started to reflect upon my life as I had known it so far.

Today I am doing great. My walking has improved tremendously and I am feeling very positive. This disease makes you take a very good look at yourself. It makes you look at your surrounding, work, friends, family and your partner. I have realised that I am very blessed. I have all of the above and Neal has been incredibly supportive. The emotional support I receive from him day by day should not be underestimated, it is as important as medical support. Neal however felt that by running the London Marathon for the MS Trust, he could ACTIVELY help to raise funds for this organisation and help others.

So please, I am asking you for your help to donate generously. Every penny we can raise will go to this worthy organisation and cause.

Thank you so much for your help

Neal Woolf
