We did it!

It was the hottest marathon on record but that didn't stop my mum from completing her first ever Flora London Marathon . 

My mum and I would like to thank everyone for all of their support.

The words of encouragement form the crowds and especially the generous donations to our charity, Cancer Research UK .

It isn't too late to sponsor us!  We are leaving this page open a little longer to hopefully raise a few more pounds for this worthy cause.

As Cancer Research UK's Running Ambassador, I am able to combine the two things I'm passionate about - running and raising money to beat cancer.    

I am delighted to be back at the London Marathon after having my lovely baby boy, Devon .

And this year I will be joined by my mum, Nancy, who will be running her first ever marathon.

We are both running for Cancer Research - a charity very close to both our hearts as in September 2003 my father was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Thankfully he is now in remission and both my mum and I will be thinking of him with every step we take along the 26.2 mile route.

We are looking forward to being part of the team of 1,500 people running for Cancer Research on the day.

Together we are hoping to raise a staggering £1.5 million to help the doctors and scientists prevent, diagnose and treat cancer - but we can only do this with support from people like you.
