Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. This will be the second time I have taken part in the BUPA Great North Run 2006. Despite all the aches and pains after last year's event it didn't take me long to decide I wanted to do it again.
I'm raising money for Butterwick Children's Hospice because having worked for the charity for a year I have been able to see first hand the difference they make to the children and their families lives. The charity also needs our support now more than ever as a three year grant of £150,000 from the New Opportunities Fund ran out in March 2006. With running costs of around £700,000 and only 5% of this cost made up of statutory funding it is vital that people like you and me help in any way we can.
I hope you will support my attempt to raise as much money as possible for the Children's Hospice by sponsoring me to complete the Great North Run.
