Hi,
I am raising money and awareness for the Riders For Health charity.
As you may know I have been competing in the ACSMC Sprinting motor sport championship during 2008 and 2009 seasons. The championship is set at racing circuits like Brands Hatch, Goodwood and other such venues in the south of England.
I have done rather well finishing 2nd in class during 2008 and 3rd in 2009. The aim for next year will be to do a few more events and finish 1st in class.
For the 2010 season I have teamed up with the charity 'Riders For Health' to raise money and awareness for the work they do in Africa.
'Riders for Health' is an international, non-governmental organisation born out of the world of motorcycle racing. Its mission is to ensure that health workers in Africa have uninterrupted access to reliable transport. Without such transport, all health care projects fail.
What's my plan? To raise money for Riders, I am selling advertising space on my 2010 Sprint car. The car is a 2001 FIAT Seicento - Schumacher and I will be competing up against similarly powered cars. I will be entering upto 10 events (highest scoring 9 events count toward the championship).
Why should you support me? All the money I am raising is going directly to 'Riders for Health' and will help them provide essential support to the African families who are so desperate to receive their medication. These can vary from life saving drugs to the most taken for granted medication, such as vaccinations. Doctors and other health workers use motorbikes as the quickest method of transport into some of the most remote areas in Africa. Out of all of the numerous charities I want to support, 'Riders for Health' is linked directly to my passion for racing, so I feel I can have fun doing my part, whilst making a considerable difference to other people's lives.
For every £100 donated directly to 'Riders For Health' your company can get a logo on the car for the entire 2010 season. The logo can be upto 148x210mm (A5 paper size) or you can provide your own logo of an agreed size.
Please donate through
www.justgiving.com as its the most efficient way to donate directly to Riders for Health. They will get your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks very much for choosing to support me
Nick
