My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. It was with some trepidation that I decided to run the 2008 UK Ironman. Essentially an Ironman is the longest form of Triathalon comprising of a 2.4 mile swim followed by 112 miles on the bike and concluded by a 26.2 mile marathon to be completed in 17 hours. As you can imagine training is therefore going to be a large part of my life for the next 9 months, but hey I needed something to do at weekends!

The easy decision was to raise money for Music In Hospitals throughout the training and the event. I've seen first hand the fantastic work Music In Hospitals does for people with all kinds of illnesses and when you see the dedication the charity members put into their work, competing for 17 hours appears easy in comparison.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Council For Music In Hospitals will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
