Story
Tree Aid Cycle Marathon
On Saturday 20th June I'm hoping to complete an 87 mile circumnavigation of Bristol on the Avon Cycle Way to raise money for a very worthwhile charity, Tree Aid. You can see the route here:

Tree Aid's operations are mainly in Burkino Faso - one of the poorest nations on earth. They help people find ways to use trees to generate sustainable wealth through tree husbandry and the retail of tree-derived products. Such as cosmetics made from seed oil. Tap this site into your browser for some fab photos:
£10 plants and cares for a tree so it will start producing fruit that can feed a family and be sold for money to pay for education and healthcare. £35 means Forestry Know-how training can be delivered to villagers so they learn how to germinate seeds, manage nurseries, protect & care for trees, and learn sustainable soil care techniques. £100 buys a bicycle - a low cost and low impact way for farmers to reach and support their trees and crops.
Thank you,
Nick
