****STOP PRESS****
I've run a marathon! It took 4 hours, 5 minutes and 19 seconds, which was just a tiny bit outside what I'd wanted but in the event was plenty good enough. It really hurt, but I'm just pleased and proud to have finished.
Thank you, so much, to everyone who made donations to Birmingham Women's Hospital, and also (nearly as importantly!) for the moral support you all lent me. I could not have fulfilled this ambition without you.

PS When all the money is totted up, I've raised nearly £2,300!
This is my first marathon (ulp!) and it'll probably be my last. I just want to say I did it!
My aim is to do it in less than four hours. I've been training fairly hard. So, well, we shall see...
I'm raising money for the Neonatal unit at Birmingham Women's Hospital, whose fantastic work saves lives. It has done so within my family, so I've seen it happen. It is currently hoping to expand its invaluable services through the Tiny babies, big appeal campaign.
Its work is very expensive... so anything you'd like to donate for my effort will be very welcome.
And anyone who wants to come to Nottingham on 13 September to support me, please do so. I would really appreciate it.
