On Sunday 12th July I will be participating in the 2009 ASICS BRITISH 10K LONDON RUN
Now, most of you know that when it comes to running, and come to think of it exercise in general, I am definitely not the first in the queue to put my trainers on.
Before you fall off your chair laughing at the thought of me huffing and puffing my way round a 10K run, there is one charity that has caused me to put my wine glass down, dust off my leggings and get my brand new running shoes on.
As the very proud God-mother to Rosannah Harris, my dear friend Tor’s little girl, I am looking for your help to raise money for The Elizabeth Foundation.
Rosannah was diagnosed profoundly deaf at six weeks old and with The Elizabeth Foundation’s help, she has had a wonderful grounding in communication skills through weekly lessons and access to the home learning and support programme.
Our fund raising will allow the foundation to carry on their amazing work; encouraging the development of speech, language and listening skills by using all of the child's senses.
I am looking to raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile charity so that Rosannah can grow up surrounded with the best support and technology available.
Please help me to help Rosannah and the The Elizabeth Foundation. Thank you.
