Fairbridge- Nike+ Human Race 2008 · 31 August 2008 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

On the 31st August 2008 we will be attempting the Nike 10K Human Race, joining up with over a million other runners from 25 cities all over the World for the World's largest running event! Kicking off in Wembley Stadium we will be tearing past London landmarks, crossing the finish line at Olympic way, (that's Wembley Way to you and me) in a time that even Paula Radcliffe would be proud of….yeah right!

As part of this effort the 4 of us have set up this site with Justgiving in an effort to raise some cash for the MS Society and are asking all you lovely people to dig out some spare change for this charity through the physical challenge that this will certainly be for us. All proceeds will be forwarded to the Bournemouth & District branch of the MS Society. Branches run mainly on donations and fund raising and this branch provides an important service for people with Multiple Sclerosis. Through places such as the Osborne Centre in Dorset, people with MS and their carers, volunteer helpers and supporters can get much needed support. Facilities available at the Osbourne centre include physiotherapy, yoga, therapeutic massage, hairdressing, bathing and recreation. If you have time, check out the link below for more info:

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: MS Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
