About my charity : Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund
Pancreatic cancer is little known and little researched, despite having the highest death rate of all cancers. The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the first national charity dedicated solely to overcoming pancreatic cancer through funding independent research and through lobbying existing research funders.

My personal message:

This run is in aid of my brilliant uncle Alex who was unlucky enough to be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and survived only 4 weeks once diagnosed. Please sponsor me; all the money will be very much appreciated from me and the research.

Only 3% of those diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer survive 5 or more years

unlike breast cancer where the statistic has risen from 46% survival after diagnosis of 5 or more years to 80%

-Pancreatic Cancer survival rate hasn't changed in 40 years
