"There will never be peace on earth..... until there is peace between the religions."
The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), the event organisers, do not use faith, race, gender etc. to discriminate against who benefits from their projects, which is the philosophy that unites this team.
Partnerships are one of the UK Millennium Development Goals, and Partnerships between those of different faiths, and of none, play a pivotal role. It is in this spirit, and in the spirit of Nishkam, that we, as a small group of people from different faiths and of none, want to show our support for our brothers and sisters. (Nishkam means serving others without any want, or expectation of anything in return - i.e. serving for the sake of serving.)
Our team to date includes:
Fauja Singh (marathon world record holder - over 90's)
Papa Minhas
Momma Minhas
Delvinder Parmar
Magnus Philipson
